Business is Blooming

Exbury Gardens website home page screen shotExbury Gardens opens its gates once more for the start of the tourist season this weekend and at the same time Clickfire proudly unveils the new look website. Richer in colour, content and photography than ever before the new site is just the ticket.

The Clickfire team have re-worked the whole site, focusing on a clean, modern layout with better use of photography and flash animation to engage the visitor.

All image galleries used on the site including visitor photos are now driven by the online social service 'Flickr'. The current flowering conditions also have the additional feature of a promotional box, which automatically switches between photos within the gallery. This was an important addition to the site as the gardens are constantly changing and visitors are naturally curious as to what is on show at any time of the year.

The interactive tours were also completely re-worked using a single flash animated slideshow interface. As with the image galleries 'light box' technology was adopted ensuring that the user isn't taken away from the tour overview page, allowing them to switch between tours easily.

Clickfire were also able to extract and optimise key footage from video archives for use on relevant sections of the site. These were then uploaded to You Tube thereby enhancing the social aspect of the site further, whilst making key pages richer with added interest and user interaction.

Commercial & Marketing Manager at Exbury Gardens, Nigel Philpott has been singing Clickfire's praises...

"It was vital that the website presented Exbury in a good light and attracted additional and returning visitors. The new website has been a success. Clickfire have provided a site that looks great and is easy to navigate."

"Clickfire have demonstrated excellent management to steer the Exbury team through the uncharted waters of website design to realise a successful outcome. All queries were answered in a very timely fashion and Clickfire were always available to discuss ideas. They were very patient but persistant enough to see the launch of the website was on time!"
